Just graduated or about to? Our traineeship is your first step into a career in supply chain. You gain real work experience at a leading organisation, while we invest in your professional and personal development.

Since 2014, Set supply chain professionals has offered the Young Professional Program: a three-year traineeship for young supply chain talent. Many graduates struggle with the question “Which job really suits me?” Our traineeship helps you find the answer.

During the program, you take on assignments of 6 to 12 months at our clients, such as Tony’s Chocolonely, Haribo, Rituals, Bejo Zaden and Karo Pharma. Each assignment combines a challenging operational planning role (demand, supply, production or S&OP planning) with a process improvement project. Roles include demand planner, supply planner, inventory planner, production planner, network planner and supply chain analyst. We actively look for assignments that match your growth path, and you have a say in this.

Alongside your work, you receive intensive coaching on both your professional knowledge and your personal skills, and you are part of our Talent Pool, with regular peer coaching sessions with fellow trainees and a buddy system to support you along the way.

What we offer

  • A salary of €3,000 gross per month (40 hours), with an annual increase
  • A one-year contract, converted into a permanent contract if things go well
  • Professional coaching and training focused on your personal development
  • A career budget to spend in consultation with your coach
  • 30 holiday days per year, with the option to buy extra days
  • Travel allowance and a good pension scheme
  • Mental wellbeing support through OpenUp
  • Team events and an informal, ambitious team of fellow trainees

Who we are looking for

  • A university (WO) degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field
  • Analytical strength and the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Energy from changing environments, and a calm, proactive approach to solving problems at the root
  • Openness to feedback and coaching, and a drive to keep learning

Good to know

  • You can start at any moment of the year; there are no fixed start dates.
  • Assignments are within a maximum travel time of one hour.
  • Set is a certified B Corp, working towards a more inclusive and sustainable economy.
